LY12-A Antifoulant for Fish Net |
| I．Brief introduction |
In recent years, the cultivation industry of fish, shrimp, shellfish and mussel has been flourishing in the sea and on land. It covers thousands of sea areas from north to south, as well as inland rivers, lakes and ponds. Fish net is usually knitted out from chemical fiber (such as polyvinyl chloride or nylon). The choices of parvicostellae and meshes should be different according to different cultivated objects. Due to the long time of soaking in water, the fish nets are more vulnerable to non- cultivated organisms, such as algae, moss, fungi, barnacle, serpulidae，mussel, oyster and C.tenuimanus. This will not only shorten service life of fish nets, but also need to be brushed by labors to defaecate and even changed, which must waste labor, material and time. What’s more, the clogging of meshes caused by lots of non- cultivated organisms hinders water quality proper exchange and decreases the amount of bait and oxygen for cultivated organisms, which severely affects the quality of fishery product. In such a case, the pollution of fish nets has become a most serious problem in cultivation industry. The application of safe and effective antifoulant is one of the effective ways to solve this problem. Since the 1970s, there have been many reports on research in antifoulant for fish nets, however, the application of these researches has not been carried out. The reasons are as follows:
① The water-soluble antifoulant of open type has been used which is of high toxicity and not safe.
② The antifouling effect can not last a long time without good effect.
③ The traditional products are too sticky to form a membrane and be operated conveniently.
④The price of such products is always high, thus can not be approved by the public. Through years of efforts, the LY23 antifoulant for fish net produced by our company is an epoch-making product. It is a kind of close type antifoulant with significant effect and practical usage. Thus it can be used safely, operated conveniently and promoted widely. | II．The characteristics of product] |
1. Such antifoulant has significant restrain effect on such non- cultivated organisms as algae, moss, fungi, mussel and oyster. The antifouling time of fish nets prepared by this product has doubled or tripled.
2. The fish nets prepared by this product can not be adhered by non-cultivated organisms. Thus, the meshes will not be clogged by them to guarantee the fluent current inside and outside the net webs, abundant bait and adequate ventilation. The cultivation time can be shortened (for example, the cultivation time of mussel in net webs will be ahead of one to two months) and the quality of fishery products can be promoted (above 15%).
3. The fish nets prepared by this product can not be adhered by non-cultivated organisms. Thus, the nets needn’t be brushed regularly by labors and even replaced by others to save our plenty of labor, material and time.
4. The fish nets prepared by this product are covered by a layer of membrane with strong water tolerance and abradability and can not be corroded by other organisms. In this case, the loss of the nets’ tensile strength could be decreased and its service life could be prolonged (about one to two years).
5. The fish nets prepared by this product can not be adhered by non-cultivated organisms to keep the fluent current and the normal amount of oxygen in water. Thus, parasitic disease in ovum which would disturb physiological metabolism of fish, shrimp, shellfish and mussel in hypoxia can be reduced dramatically.
6. It is a kind of close type antifoulant with strong water tolerance and abradability. Thus, it would not produce three wastes and any pollution after being used. |
| III．Application Fields |
| This product can be used for fixed fish nets in deep sea, the nets used to catch float shellfish and pearl at sea-level, various net cases or cages, surrounding nets, railing nets as well as ropes, brackets and buoys. |
| IV．Technology Process |
1. Folk therapy used in fishing ground. We should pour the product in containers or cement grooves first and then soak the nets in it. After soaking, take the nets out and dry them up. The latter stage should be best carried out in high temperature.
2. Prepare the nets in works. We have built a processing manufactory to carry out preparation process. The main stages are soaking and drying which is to soak the nets in antifoulant and then dry them up. The nets prepared by the product can be made into various kinds of fishing nets in terms of different requirements. |
| V．Announcement |
1. The antifoulant must be stirred uniformly before preparation of fishing nets to achieve the best effects.
2. The fishing nets to be prepared should be dry, clean, especially the new nets.
3. Avoid contacting with mouth, eyes and skin though the product is of high security. In case of contact with body, you should do water douche immediately.
4. Due to its fine property of forming membrane，the tools used to touch it must be cleaned while it is still wet. Otherwise, it would be difficult to remove the membrane after drying up. |
